The Publications Office (OP) uses METS (Library of Congress standard) as the exclusive ingestion format for its Common Content and Metadata Repository (Cellar) and the long term archive (EUDOR). Cellar METS-1 supports the creation and update of (entire) cohesive objects in Cellar. The level of granularity of operations is given by the scope of a resource entity, e.g., work, expression, or manifestation.
