The Directory of EU legal acts is a controlled vocabulary that contains the directories of EU legislation (Directory of European Union legislation, Directory of European Union preparatory acts, Directory of international agreements and Directory of European Union consolidated acts) which facilitate the access to EU legislation by subject. The Directory of EU legal acts is structured into 20 chapters with divisions into further sub-sections as necessary. It is part of the Core Metadata used in the exchange between the institutions involved in the legal decision making process and the Publications Office of the European Union. Labels are provided in all official EU languages. This vocabulary is under governance of the Interinstitutional Metadata and Formats Committee (IMFC). It is maintained by the Publications Office of the European Union and disseminated on the EU Vocabularies website.
